Trauma

How bad does the soul have to be wounded

to always want something that doesn’t want it back

with the same intensity?

What kind of trauma does that to people?

Why does the mouth have to want lips

that cannot be had?

What kind of fingers crave for skin that

worships touch of someone else?

What kind of legs weep to be spread by hands

that are bound under the name of another?

What kind of trauma does that to people?

Why does the blanket seek warmth

that the fever of unfaithfulness holds?

Why does the mind stay suspended in scenarios

of utter cruelty?

Why does soul find delight under the light

of ruination of another woman;

Why does the chest want to hold dear such man?

What kind of trauma does that to people?
